Freckles

Made from reference but made with intention. I used this piece to illustrate the feeling of drowning in our society from beauty standards and the preferences and choices of others. In this piece, the subject "Freckles" has her eyes closed. She is suffering but she is also not very engaged. Her waters are not clear but they are nearly transparent and thats to show that she is impacted but she isn't entirely lost in her battle. The 2nd piece finishes the collection. "Freckles" is part one to the Drown Collection.
